National Hurricane Center has increased the intensity forecasted for soon to be Hurricane Dorian with a CATEGORY 3 (Major Hurricane) making landfall central east coast of Flordia on Monday! Rapid intensification is expected after passing near St Thomas later today with a then bend to the west expected this weekend aiming possible landfall along Florida’s east coast.

Current Warnings & Watches

Hurricane Warning: US and British Virgin Islands, Vieques, and Culebra

Tropical Storm Warning & Hurricane Watch: Puerto Rico

Tropical Storm Watch: Dominican Republic from Isla Soana to Samana

Current Forecasted Strenght

Although we are still several days away from impacts on Flordia it should be noted that models are showing rapid strengthening as landfall nears.

Forecasted Tracks

It does appear landfall for east Flordia then a possible crossover of Florida then a curve last second to the north/northeast.

We will have to see the updates in the coming days if an actual landfall will be made or if in some cases on a few model runs, landfall is made on the east coast of Flordia then pushes off to the north and east grazing the east coastline. So that being said still a lot of uncertainty but something to be noted and if you are in the impacted zones for Dorian, Now is the time to prepare!
